Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2020
Merry Christmas
and a Happy New Year.
We've enjoyed
another great year of our life on Earth and thank you for your
thoughts and prayer to help it happen. Bernice and I continue to
manage our health issues with the help of our fine doctors and
pharmaceuticals – drugs! Members of our large family are all doing
exceptionally well and for that we are thankful.
This includes
great-grandchildren, Rosalind and Caspian; grandchildren, Stefanie, Kathleen, Aliya and
husband, Kye; Amos, Emma, Liam, Uriah, Rudy, Joel & wife,
Bethany.
Our children,
Bentley & Sharon and Cameron & Michelle; Linda, Jennifer & Wayde -- none of whom are
'children' anymore.
The above members
extended families: Ryan & Kristy and their children Tovin and
Ceyla. Kristy's mom, Merna. Coleen in Australia and Susan in Powell
River and their parents, Bob & Joyce.
Other family members
like, Virginia, Cliff, Leonard, Chris & Joel, Beverly, Sandy,
sister, Sylvia & bro Stanley, bro Lawrence & Margaret.
We lost a few
friends and members of our extended family to death and express our
condolences (again) and wish each Eternal Rest in Peace.
We are thankful for
friends who remain in our company, some for over two decades. That be
Ronnie, George, Al, Arthur, Connie & Huc, Sam & Carol, Rob, Bill &
Lena, Don & Marg, Irene, Madeline & Jim, Don, Dan, Tom,
Sheldon, Ross, Marilyn, Walter, Judi, Eugene & Judith,
Eric, Jay & Suzanne
Bernice and I still
get out for our walks but not to the extent we once did. The years ar
slowing us down combined with some health issues. I'm over eighty and
Bern is pushing eighty so change is to be expected. We can deal with
it. Aging is simply a case of mind over matter; if you don't mind it
doesn't matter.
Our highlights for
2019 include:
The wedding of Kye &
Aliya in June. Beautiful wedding and reception at the UVic Faculty
Club.
The purchase by Joel
& Bethany of their first home in December. It's a dandy,
including two rental suites.
Cameron &
Michelle finishing off (they hope) upgrades to their beautiful home
overlooking Galey Farms.
Bentley & Sharon
doing the same at their peaceful home -- Peace Chateau -- in View
Royal.
Amos winding down
his carpenter training at Camosun College and various construction
sites. A. has big plans!
Liam travelling the
province using his UVic graduate, business acumen to organize
communities toward creating opportunities.
Bernice & I made
it to the Mainland on BC Ferries twice this year, each daytrip
visiting White Rock, BC, in November and December. A beautiful city.
Bro Lawrence & I
crossed over once to visit White Rock on a daytrip in September. The
rebuilt pier just opened after repairs.
Taking the car over on return
weekends, costs over $200 CAD but taking my bicycles only $2 each
way. LOL
I took my new
electric-assist bicycle over in July and rode the Boundary Bay Dyke
Trail (52km roundtrip) to Mud Bay Park and back.
So this brings us to
wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Yours, Billy &
Bernice

2016 CHRISTMAS GREETINGS
CHRISTMAS GREETINGS
Thank you for your cheery Christmas greeting.
For some, the past year was simply great and for others it represented major changes. Our sympathy and condolences go out to you who suffered great loss of loved ones -- be they family members or close friends. We are particularly mindful of our dear friend, Sam D. and our acquaintance, Bill De C.. Also, we attended Johnny's celebration of life and were disheartened by Bev's seeming, loss of memory. It is truly a 'thief in the night' who steals away one's life's memories. It feels to me like we lost two old friends at once.
For Bernice and me, the Lord continues to shower down His Blessings upon us daily. This, of course, in the most valuable blessing -- one's health. I am in my eightieth year (to be celebrated March 2017) and Bernice is getting up there, although much younger (thought it prudent to include that last bit ;-).
Our family is doing splendidly; that be our children, their children and their children. Cameron and Michelle have one daughter and three boys and Bentley and Sharon have one daughter and two boys -- all doing well in their studies and careers. Cameron and Michelle are grandparents going into their third year in this role. Wow, how time flies!
Bernice and I aren't walking as much as we used to but when the weather warms up we hope to return to our regimen of two or three walks per week. Anyone reading our blog or viewing our Flickr photos knows our whole life is on the internet.
Our Flickr photostream (as of today) contains 5,838 photos (plus 100 videos) with 1,572,981 (1.57 million) views, all images from Beautiful British Columbia. Our photos on Google Maps alone have been viewed over 30,000 times. Our 309 YouTube videos have been viewed 689,718 times as of today.
WISHING YOU ALL MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR 2017
